What people ask us to make

Most custom requests fall into a handful of shapes, and none of them need you to know anything about jewellery before you start:

• A set built around an outfit. The most common one. You send a photo of the lehenga or saree, and we match the stones and the metal tone to it rather than hoping something off the shelf happens to work.
• A piece you have seen somewhere. A screenshot from Instagram, a photograph of something a relative wore. We will tell you honestly how close we can get.
• An old design, remade. A necklace from a family photograph, or something that has stopped being wearable, reinterpreted in a lighter imitation version.
• A change to something we already make. Often the simplest request — a different stone colour, a longer chain, studs instead of drops.
• A gift you want to get right. Tell us about her, and we will shortlist rather than leave you guessing.

What to send us

A photo and a sentence is genuinely enough to start. If you have them, these help most: the occasion, the outfit colour, whether she prefers gold or oxidised silver, a rough budget, and the date you need it by. Budget is not a rude question here — it changes what we suggest, and it stops us designing something that was never going to work for you.

What it costs, and how long it takes

We quote before anything is made, and the quote does not change afterwards. Nothing is started until you have seen the price and said yes.

Timelines depend entirely on the piece and on what the workshop has on at the time, so we will not pretend there is a standard answer. Tell us your date when you first message and we will tell you straight away whether it is possible — including when it is not. We would rather turn something down than miss a wedding.

What we do not do

We work in imitation jewellery — gold-tone and oxidised finishes, stones rather than certified gemstones. We do not make pieces in real gold, and we do not set precious stones. If that is what you are after, a jeweller is the right place to go and we will happily say so.

We also will not copy another designer's piece outright. Taking inspiration from a silhouette is fine; reproducing someone's work is not.

Before you commit

A custom piece is one of a kind, so it cannot be exchanged the way a catalogue piece can. That is exactly why we talk it through properly first, share what it will look like, and only begin once you are sure. If you are not sure, say so — we will keep refining it.
