How a Custom Womanza Piece Comes to Life
Some of the pieces we love most began as a half-formed idea — a colour someone couldn’t stop thinking about, a photograph of an older relative’s necklace, a wedding date circled on the calendar. Custom jewellery is our way of turning those small, personal sparks into something you can actually wear. If you have ever wished a design existed but couldn’t quite find it, this is how we help you bring it into being at Womanza.
It Starts With an Idea
There is no form to fill in and no jargon to learn. You simply message us on WhatsApp and tell us what is on your mind. That might be a clear picture — “I want a mesh kada in soft pinks” — or it might be much looser, like a mood, an outfit you are dressing around, or the occasion you have in view.
Reference images help enormously, so send whatever you have: a screenshot, a piece you already own, even a fabric swatch. And if you are only browsing for inspiration, our founder Ankita Gupta and the team are always happy to talk through ideas before anything is decided. Looking through the full collection is often a lovely starting point, since seeing what we make can help sharpen what you are after.
We Suggest Materials, Stones and a Quote
Once we understand the direction, we come back to you with suggestions. This is where an idea starts to feel real. We will talk through the materials and finishes that suit the look, which stones and colours would work best, and how the piece might sit or drape when worn.
Alongside those suggestions comes a quote, so you know what to expect before committing to anything. There is genuinely no obligation at this stage — plenty of conversations are simply about exploring what is possible. If the direction isn’t quite right, we adjust; if it is, we move ahead together. A statement piece such as our crystal bloom mesh kada gives a sense of the detail and colour play that a custom design can lean into, while an ornate set like our antique kundan charm necklace shows how heritage-inspired requests can take shape.
The Piece Is Handcrafted
When you are happy with the plan and give the go-ahead, the making begins. Every custom piece is handcrafted, which means it is built up by hand with care rather than pulled off a shelf. This is the quiet, patient part of the process, and it is where all those early conversations about colour, stones and finish finally come together into a single object.
Because these are made-to-order pieces, small variations are part of their charm. Handwork carries a warmth and individuality that mass production simply cannot, and that is very much the point — your piece is yours.
Details Confirmed, Then Shipped
Before anything leaves us, we confirm the final details with you so there are no surprises. Once everything is settled, your piece is carefully packed and shipped to you. We deliver across India, so wherever you are, your finished design can reach you.
From there, it is yours to wear, to style, and hopefully to reach for again and again. Many customers tell us the pieces they treasured most were the ones they had a hand in shaping, and that is exactly the feeling we hope to create.
If you have an idea of your own, we would love to hear it — you can read more and start a conversation on our custom design page. Whether it is for a wedding, a gift, or simply a piece you have always pictured, we will meet you wherever your idea begins and help carry it all the way to something you can hold.
